Fork springs BMW R 1200 GS ESA '10-'12 progressive Hyperpro kit

Hyperpro progressive fork spring kit designed specifically to be installed on the bike's original forks. Springs are the main element of the suspension: they must be soft enough to ensure comfort but also hard enough to support the weight of the bike while preventing it from dropping too much. Linear springs are always a compromise: they may be fine for a track ride where comfort is sacrificed to increase performance but not on the street where more flexibility is needed so as to adapt to all conditions and have maximum safety. In progressive springs, the distance between coils increases progressively. When compressing a linear fork spring, most of the coils reach the end of the stroke, touching each other and ceasing to perform their function: with progressive springs, the compression movement is modulated, allowing the coils to never reach the end of the stroke. In this way, it is always the spring that absorbs the impact and not the tire, providing better bike control and reducing tire wear. The initial part of the spring is the softer one to increase comfort and road feel offering a more precise ride, the middle part of the spring absorbs the bumps on the road surface while the reinforced final part controls the chassis under braking and acceleration, increasing the stability of the bike. Hyperpro progressive fork spring kits allow the front fork travel to be fully utilized under maximum braking conditions, without upsetting the front set-up and grip.
