Newfren produces a wide range of clutches that covers most modern motorcycle models and vintage motorcycles: between clutch discs and centrifugal clutches, it is one of the widest ranges on the market, both with regard to applitives and materials. The catalog has products for models ranging from the old Vespa 98 from 1946 to the more recent MXGP and Moto3 racing clutches, including single dry plate clutches for BMW, 1969 onward, and special clutch discs for Speedway. Newfren uses a wide range of organic and sintered friction materials developed for specific applications: metal discs are made from special steels treated to maximize performance. These are high quality, Made in Italy parts.
Pro Race linerepresents the top of the range: it is the result of research into new technologies combined with new materials developed in collaboration with important Superbike, Moto3 and MXGP teams. The friction material is composed mainly of cellulose, resins, carbon and other elements that provide an extremely high coefficient of friction and are less compressible. The special design of the separate notches improves oil flow, allowing the plates to operate more efficiently. The combination of this design with the new friction material increases fatigue resistance and ensures maximum performance stability, even under extreme use, making the Pro Race clutch a top-quality racing product.
Performance line consisting of clutches that are also suitable for sports use: the range is designed for high performance non-competitive use, but also for non-extreme sports use, and therefore designed to withstand high stresses, ensuring good performance. The friction material, used for wet clutch actuation plates, is Paper Carbon: the driven plates are made of special steel to ensure maximum strength and minimum deformability.
OE-Standard line designed to replace the original equipment clutch while maintaining the same performance and durability. OE-Standard clutch disc sets are made from extremely reliable premium materials. The friction material of the discs is organic: the compound of the organic material is chosen in relation to the type and use of the motorcycle, thus optimizing performance while adhering to the manufacturer's guidelines. The single-disc dry clutch line offers a high-performance replacement for BMW and Moto Guzzi models produced since the 1970s: the original Type K, available for all applications, is a high-quality replacement while the newer Type KW incorporates a new friction material composed of a synthetic aramid fiber with exceptional mechanical resistance to tension and heat. In the event of overheating, the material does not undergo glazing and returns to its original characteristics as soon as it cools: furthermore, the friction material is efficient even if it comes into contact with oil.
Newfren line, chosen by Ducati as original equipment for the Panigale V4R with STM clutch system and partner of Ducati Corse and the SBK team, is now the widest and most technologically advanced range in the aftermarket. The range includes organic and sintered discs for dry and wet clutches. Both the sintered and organic ranges are high performance products. Newfren clutch discs have also been chosen for supplying production models.
