L'ammortizzatore posteriore per Kawasaki VN 800 Classic non deve essere registrato, a meno che la moto non venga utilizzata con passeggero e con valigie cariche: in questo caso basterà allentare il grano di sicurezza presente sulla ghiera superiore di registro del precarico molla e avvitare la stessa fino a raggiungere la durezza desiderata. Allo stesso tempo è consigliato aumentare anche la durezza dell'estensione idraulica ruotando in senso orario il pomello presente sopra alla forchetta inferiore dell'ammortizzatore.
