Fuel pump Mikuni DF52-176

Mikuni vacuum fuel pump: can be used on both 4-stroke and 2-stroke engines. Operation is through the vacuum automatically generated by the air intake into the engine. These pumps ensure a constant and smooth flow of gasoline to the carburetor. Generally these pumps are used on vehicles that are exposed to high acceleration and centrifugal forces or on vehicles with the tank located below the carburetor. If you install a gasoline pump then you will have to adapt the float needle valve to prevent it from flooding: using a smaller needle valve seat provides a better seal even at higher pressure. Alternatively, a T-doubler can be fitted to the outlet line to divert excess gasoline to the tank; this line will have to be brought back by running it from a point higher than the level of the tank or by installing a flow reducer so as to maintain the feed preference to the carburetor.
