Denso spark plugs: has become one of the world's pioneers in OEM-quality spark plug technology since 1959. Spark plugs are known as the heart of the engine as they play a key role during starting and throughout all engine speeds. Proper combustion of the air-fuel mixture is what generates power in heat engines: the precise timing of the spark created by the spark plug ignites the fuel, triggering combustion. To create this spark, a high voltage is passed between the center electrode and the ground electrode of the spark plug; this voltage breaks the natural insulation between these electrodes and an electric spark is generated. Although this strong spark lasts only about 1/1,000th of a second, it must be precisely timed to ignite the fuel-air mixture.
