Looks identical to a bevel Ducati tank cap, can you confirm please, also have you been able to establish correctly if it is stainless steel or chrome steel from supplier, you are correct that some stainless is magnetic, eg Inox guards on my bevels.

Yes, this fuel cap is installed also on some stock Ducati Bevel Gear tank: no I'm sorry I'm not able to give you certainty, but judging from the yellow color to which the cap tends to I would say with fair certainty that is made of stainless steel. Also, not a single one of the customers who purchased this cap during all these years has ever referred us to any rust.

Salve ho bisogno del tappo serbatoio motoguzzi 350 del 1984, dalle immagini e dalle dimensioni indicate sembra che sia compatibile con il tappo che devo sostituire, nel caso non fosse così si può chiedere il reso?

Si, assolutamente, le confermo che nel caso il tappo benzina non fosse compatibile con il serbatoio della sua Moto Guzzi è sempre possibile effettuare il reso del prodotto chiedendo il rimborso o la sostituzione. Ad ogni modo, se anche a livello visivo, questo tappo serbatoio coincide con quello presente sulla sua moto allora non dovrebbero esserci problemi; a quanto ci risulta questo è l'unico tappo fatto che è stato prodotto con queste specifiche e forme.

A quanto ci risulta la sua Moto Guzzi 1000 G5 montava un tappo diverso che purtroppo però è fuori produzione.

This fuel cap should be made of chromed steel but sometimes it is really hard to check the difference: I can tell you that the magnet sticks to the cap so it is more probably chromed but this is not always thrue. Pure stainless steel is non-magnetic but some processing undergone by metals change the molecular structure causing magnetism.

Questo tappo dovrebbe essere lo stesso utilizzato anche su Cagiva SST: a ogni modo lo può riconoscere dalla foto perchè se la forma del suo tappo assomiglia a questa allora è sicuramente compatibile anche con il suo serbatoio.

Non è facile a spiegarlo ma provo ad esserle di aiuto. Deve alzare la battuta della molletta in maniera da far incastrare l'aggancio del raccordo serbatoio nella sede presente sul tappo (per intenderci quella con i due uncinetti).

Si, dovrebbe essere compatibile con le serie piccole Moto Guzzi nella versione Custom. Le altre montavano il serbatoio con lo sportelletto.

Si sposa benissimo con il serbatoio della mia moto. Ho dovuto fare una piccola modifica, limando le 2 linguette sotto il tappo (di tenuta della ghiera) perché strisciavano attorno alla bocca del serbatoio; con un po’ di maestria ho risolto questo piccolo dettaglio. Il resto è perfetto!!!
