PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Fiberglass fuel tank coated in gelcoat suitable for several Yamaha models 350cc: tested to verify the sealand guaranteed to be used with standard petrol and racing gasoline withethanol percentages below 10%. This fuel tank can be ordered with trasparent band to check the fuel level or Metal Flake finishing: download the file to see an example. We recommend rinsing with gasoline before use.

To install the new fiberglass tank it is almost always necessary to modify other parts of the motorcycle, such as the seat, rear lights, mudguard and license plate support. The assembly of fiberglass tanks requires the use of rubber pads to absorb vibrations and protect the frame from bumps and scratches. Almost every fiberglass fuel tanks have anchored pawls resinated both at the front and at the rear: these joints can be used to fix the fuel tank with rubber elastic mountings. Some models instead have the same joints as the original fuel tank.

Pour commander ce réservoir avec une bande transparente, il suffit d'indiquer votre demande dans le champ « Notes de commande » que vous trouverez une fois que vous aurez placé les produits dans votre panier et de terminer votre commande en passant à la caisse ; le traitement de la bande transparente n'entraîne pas de coût supplémentaire. Je joins le lien vers les robinets avec filetage de fixation M12, vous aurez besoin de 2 robinets au pas de 1,5 comme les raccords sur le réservoir click here to view the link?

Can you get the whole tank in transparent finish, or just the band?

Hello Ethan, thanks for the inquiry. I confirm that the fuel tank can also be produced in a totally transparent version, but please consider a few things: at the junctions between the two shells there will necessarily be white mastic used to glue the two parts, and the same thing at the fuel cocks mountings. White mastic is also used for the cap fitting, unless you choose the Aeronautical cap tank, whose fitting is screwed and not glued.

In some places, the molds have imperfections that are covered during painting, achieving a perfect finish; if not painted, any imperfections will remain visible. Finally, the resin used is not perfectly transparent but as you can see in the photo of the tank found at the following link, it has shades of yellow click here to view the link. In terms of safety and tightness, nothing changes, the warranty even if you order the clear tank remains the same.

If I can give you my opinion, ordering it transparent can be a good choice as it does not involve any surcharge and can always be painted in case you do not like it but you may need to paint at least some parts to get a good result.

Il filetto di fissaggio dei raccordi rubinetto benzina presenti su questo serbatoio è M12x1.5: ecco il link ai rubinetti compatibili click here to view the link. Purtroppo però non so dirle se un solo rubinetto sia sufficiente a far arrivare tutta la benzina necessaria ai carburatori: nel caso vole effettuare questa modifica dovrebbe realizzare un tappo per chiudere uno dei due raccordi.
