Aluminium fuel tank suitable for several Moto Guzzi models Serie Grossa and Serie Piccola carburetor injected: this fuel tank can also be installed on several Moto Guzzi models injected by using an external fuel pump. It is not necessary to prepar the fuel tank with internal coating but it is possible to use it to prevent fuel lacks: the aluminium fuel tank has a polished finishing and it is ready to be installed on the motorcycle but can also be painted or satined with abrasive hand pad Scotch-Brite™.
To install the new aluminium tank it is almost always necessary to modify other parts of the motorcycle, such as the seat, rear lights, mudguard and license plate support. The assembly of aluminium tanks requires the use of rubber pads to absorb vibrations and protect the frame from bumps and scratches. Almost every aluminium fuel tanks have anchored pawls welded at the rear: these joints can be used to fix the fuel tank with rubber elastic mountings. Some models instead have the same joints as the original fuel tank.
