DESCRIPTION
Fiberglass fuel tank coated in gelcoat suitable for several BMW models R Boxer 2V: tested to verify the sealand guaranteed to be used with standard petrol and racing gasoline withethanol percentages below 10%. This fuel tank can be ordered with trasparent band to check the fuel level or Metal Flake finishing: download the file to see an example. We recommend rinsing with gasoline before use.
To install the new fiberglass tank it is almost always necessary to modify other parts of the motorcycle, such as the seat, rear lights, mudguard and license plate support. The assembly of fiberglass tanks requires the use of rubber pads to absorb vibrations and protect the frame from bumps and scratches. Almost every fiberglass fuel tanks have anchored pawls resinated both at the front and at the rear: these joints can be used to fix the fuel tank with rubber elastic mountings. Some models instead have the same joints as the original fuel tank.

Ciao, ritorno sul tema nottolini per il fissaggio serbatoio (...ieri mi è arrivato); vero, si possono svitare, MA rimangono i pezzi con la filettatura che escono dal serbatoio, vorrei togliere anche quelli altrimenti la sella non ci sta. come fare?

Per rimuovere i perni filettati dei nottolini di fissaggio dell'elastico al telaio è necessario tagliarli o molarli.
Buongiorno, ho una BMW R65 LS 1983 (a cui ho montato un telaietto posteriore con sella di Sp.Ev.); in foto, lato sella, si vedono due ganci, cosa sono/a cosa servano? li posso togliere? mi potete consigliare una coppia di rubinetti? ...ne avete tanti

I ganci serbatoio ai quali fa riferimento sono nottolini previsti per il fissaggio al telaio con elastici, si possono svitare tranquillamente. E' adatto per la sua BMW R 65 LS 1983. Per i rubinetti ne puo' scegliere 2 universali M10x1: click here to view the link click here to view the link

Yes, I confirm that this fuel tank also fit your BMW R 65 LS: usually no modifications are required but on some frames it is better to change the position of the ignition coil -if I am not wrong only on those with 2 single cable 6V ignition coils. Sice a lot of original BMW fuel cock are worn and in bad conditions, we decided to use some universal M10 joints compatible with these cocks click here to view the link: these fuel cocks are easy to find and convenient to replace. If you want to raplace also the cockpit and you plan to install aftermarket gauga that can read the fuel reserve then you could just ask in the order note field to install M16 connections in order to use this fuel cock click here to view the link
